Traditional and handmade Maraca from the Shipibo tribe from the Amazon rainforest of Peru. Maracas are often used during rituals (for example an Ayahuasca ceremony).

A maraca is made from a gourd, chonta wood and achira seeds, and decorated with a beautiful, unique pattern. These patterns are based on the Icaros – songs that shamans sing to accompany Ayahuasca ceremonies, but also very suitable for sound healing and trance journeys.

Each Maraca has its own unique patterns, sound and appearance.
